Solar rebates

Households and businesses may be eligible to sell their excess solar power back to us. Their eligibility depends on a range of factors including solar system size, electricity tariff and location.

Buyback Bonus

A new Horizon Power buyback scheme designed for Community Wave members who have added a battery or installed a larger solar system (above 5 kW).

We'll pay for any excess energy exported to the network from your solar or battery assets. Rates vary depending on the time of day, season and town.

Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme (DEBS)

This government regulated buyback rate applies to eligible residential, not-for-profit and
education customers on the A2, K2, C2, or D2 tariffs who only install a solar system up to 5 kW.

Buyback Bonus

Buyback Bonus is a new buyback scheme, available to eligible customers with a renewable energy system (such as solar) over 5kW*. Be rewarded for exporting excess solar energy during peak hours, with extra rewards during summer season.

Commercial Buyback Scheme (COBS)

If the system installed is greater than 5kW and your customer lives in a town where the cost of electricity generation is high - they may be eligible for COBS. They'll need to meet special conditions and apply to be considered for this scheme.

 

Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme (REBS)

Some residential customers or educational, charitable or not-for-profit organisations with systems under 5kW still receive REBS. REBS is a buyback product which has been superceded by DEBS and is no longer available for new applications.

Battery Boost

The State and Federal Governments are making it easier to access the bill saving and community benefits of solar and battery sooner. 

Battery Rebate

For eligible households, the WA Residential Battery Scheme offers up to $7,500 rebate for a 10kWh battery. For larger installations, including businesses, the Federal Cheaper Home Batteries program allows batteries between 5kWh and 100kWh with rebates varying based on capacity and eligibility.

0% interest loans

Eligible households can access 0% interest loans of $2,001 to $10,000 for eligible batteries and solar panels, including upgrades and new or upgraded inverters, provided a battery is included in the installation. 

Plenti will manage all applications, credit checks, approvals, loan repayments and take care of any other loan requirements during the life of the loan.
